Oh the joys of talking. Our three year old has mastered "no", it's her default answer and I'm loving it. After waiting and wondering if she'd ever talk, hearing the sassy little "nooooo" is the best thing ever.
We took a trip to the grocery store and every once in awhile she'd reach for something off the shelf. Before I had a chance to say anything she'd be on top of it "no" and then she'd lightly tap it with her finger. I wonder how many people thought I was crazy for giggling and then telling her how proud I was of her when she yelled "NO!" in the middle of the store. I don't care if it was everyone in the store. She's talking and in pubic too. The sound of her voice is music. Other words of note in our trip are orange juice, up, and touch. There was also a sign for please thrown in the mix.
No has proven to be a very hand word for her. Our youngest son often gets put in line with it and she uses it to very clearly tell use when she doesn't like something. I'm looking forward to the new words she picks up and puts to good use. I've already joked I should start yelling at her more. Because of her clear word and phrases are the ones she hears all the time "Get down" "Close that" "No"
WTG Princess! That's so awesome that she's talking more. I'm with you about the pride. Any time Lex utters a word I am a cheerleading fool, but it's all worth the funny looks I get in public.
