Working on Manners

We have been amazed at how well "Say please the first time or you won't get it" works. The first time our four year old demanded something it was "Nope, don't ask again. You forgot to ask nicely the first time" Since then we hear a whole lot more of the p word. Not only that but the tone used when asking for things has changed. Thank goodness because feeling like a waiter in our own home was beyond old! Worst part was that our four year old knew he was treating us that way and found it funny. I guess it isn't so funny now that whining doesn't work and demanding something means you sit there pouting about not getting it. Now we just need to stick with this with all the kids LOL Should be fun...
