The Walk

The weather was prefect, cloudy with a little hint of wind but still warm. The turnout was huge, it was amazing to see so many people from our area supporting a local school and even more amazing to see other children like our Princess. Before and after the walk we played on the schools play ground. I was amazed at how many sensory giving areas there were and had I not forgotten my camera I would of taken more pictures. But since I only had my cell phone and the hubs and I were taking turns watching the Princess and the Boys, you only get pictures of the kids. They have four areas with different climbing devices, four slides, stepping stones that move a little, stepping stone that climb higher as you go, a spinning log, bridges, wheels to turn and so much more. That was just the 5-12 year old play ground. They also have one for 2-5 year olds that could make any kind happy. The floor is a soft rubbery material, that screams "fall on me, I won't hurt you". It was great to see the school again, it is after all where our Princess will go next fall.

Thank you so much to everyone that gave not only to this walk effort but to our past walk

  1. I'm glad things went well for you guys! You've inspired me in more ways than you know. I'm talking with one of my co-workers (her son has Asperger's) about starting a walk in our area.
