The last few weeks have been wonderful. Our kids have been playing together. I know it seems like such a duh thing, kids play together. But our Princess struggles with this, it didn't click for her that she could do what everyone around her is doing until roughly three months ago. We spent nearly three years struggling to get her to connect to us. I have to say that most of the credit for her growth goes to her ABA therapist and our youngest son. Her therapist has put in hours of work on things that most people find simple and boring to help our Princess learn. Our youngest, well he doesn't take no for an answer, when it comes to his sister, he is going to play with her weather or not she wants to.
I have been finding more and more, our kids playing, be it sitting at a table playing next to each other, pushing their baby brother through the hall way singing the Indiana Jones theme song or swimming together in Grandma and Grandpa's pool, we are truly blessed these last few weeks have been wonderful!

ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I know what a struggle it can be for the Princess (after all her Prince Charming is still struggling after all those months at daycare) but it's wonderful that her little brother helps pull her out of her shell.
