With hard work, love and the right team of people, we can help to improve our child's future. We can choose to look at all the positives in our life and work for more of them. Or we could choose to look at the down sides and dwell on them. We choose to be positive, we will work to help our child. It will be hard, it will test our faith and will power. But we will do it with love and joy for who our child is. Autism will not take over who our child is. I can not predict what the future will hold for our family, I can tell you that we will face it together.

"I'm Sorry" Why?
Today I "bit the bullet" and informed some of our neighbors that our child is special needs. Two of them said "I'm sorry" and I can see why they would say that, but I'm not sorry for my child. We are lucky that this "illness" is not life threatening.

Beautifully put. She is one beautiful child and she has a wonderful family!
ReplyDeleteYou are wonderful, Danielle. So is your sweet little girl. I guess it's another one of those times that people speak from ignorance because they don't know what a blessing her "special need" makes her.
ReplyDeleteMUAH!! Kisses for sweet Bella and (((hugs))) for her wonderful mama!! You are absolutely right it's what you make of it.
