Small little windows opened up into a soul, nothing is more beautiful when you see the person inside.
Be it our four year old picking flowers off the neighbors plants and bringing them in for us or hearing him softly sing to his brother to calm him down. Watching him grow, he is such a gentle person with a sweetness to him.
Having our daughter do or say something out of no where. Before her, I never knew the pride that can come with watching your child do something they have tried so hard to accomplish, things came so easily to her brother. Hearing her say "I Love Mom" while I was hugging her the other night still makes me want to cry. We haven't tried to teach her those words together. Normally, I say "Mommy and Daddy love you very much" or "I love you" to her. So it was a joyful surprise, even Daddy heard.
Our baby's smile and laugh, a sweet innocence only a baby can know. We are blessed to be able to see these flashes of who they are. Who we are helping to shape into adults. I'm proud to be their Mother. They are my strength.
